What a hot and sunny day today, If I don’t open all of my room window, I’m practically letting my room turn into a mini sauna.
But anyway, today all Unduk Ngadau 2011 contest finalist representing their districts will compete in the final round at Hongkod Koisaan ( KDCA ) Hall, Penampang. The contest is held every year during Tadau Kaamatan/Harvest Festival in Sabah, Malaysia Borneo; started as Miss Kadazan in the 1960s, now it is widely known as Unduk Ngadau. I’m sure a lot of you guys in Sabah have picked your personal favorite for who may win the title this year.
I myself have my own personal favorites, hehe. Here are the beauties…
From the top (clockwise): Sophie Angela Kutam (Ranau), Jevyonne Jais (Beaufort), Eva Eadora Wesmin (Kota Belud), Caroline Anthony (Tuaran), Loreadana Carlista Frederick (Keningau)
What is your favorite?
They looked very gorgeous with makeup and the traditional native costume, but thats not the only criteria to be looked into for choosing the ultimate winner. Their gestures and their answers in the Q&A session will also be judged. Looking back to the old days of Unduk Ngadau contest, I can’t help to wonder how the past winners looks like, the sources included in Wikipedia is no good enough. I stumbled upon dead links or sites which haven’t been updated for years already (aww man..), but I will continue the search and, if I ever found a good source, I will share it with you.

Its quite funny you know, the ladies who had a brief romantic crush with me (some time ago~) joined the contest. Felt kinda happy that they are doing their best even though the never won, at least they are happier now and doing so much better. Busy with their new life and love, I don’t mind if they have forgotten about me, I was just passing by… I guess…
Oh, and by the way, check out fellow blogger Sai post for the full list of Unduk Ngadau 2011 Finalists.
