Yu Cafe, Luyang

It was a rainy night and I have an invitation for another food review, nevertheless, I disregard the heavy rain and just go for it. Next stop on my foodie adventure is Yu Cafe, a home cook style cafe, the food review was also attended by team everydayilovefood.co, Alfred Allen, Melissa and Calista Liew.

Yet another cool and comfy restaurant, I like it!

Yu Cafe is one of the participants in Kota Kinabalu Food Fest 2012, and they eventually won Best Restaurant in Cafe category.

Now let me bring you to go through the list of what we had that day. And to start off, lets go to the first part, Drinks.

Cappacino (RM5.90)

Latte (RM5.50)

These drinks are made using espresso machine, I wonder if they can make an even awe inspiring artworks on the cappucino foam.

You can also choose cold and ice blended drinks like these,

Ice Blended Caramel Latte (RM10.90)

Breakfast set

Now let see some of the breakfast set, first up, Combo Breakfast (RM12.90),

this set consists of toasted wholemeal bread, sausage, turkey ham, hash brown, scrambled egg and baked beans. This is one powerful breakfast, you will not get hungry even past lunch time.

If you want a lighter breakfast, you can choose Omelette with Turkey Bacon (RM11.80),

Bring in the appetizers

How about some good appetizers before the main course?

Bruschetta (RM6.90)

Sausage Burrito (RM7.90), crunchy and cheesy, good to wake up your taste-buds.

My favorite is this one, Homemade Beef Cottage Pie (RM5.50), I always confused this to Shepherds Pie, either one, its delicious nonetheless.

For the rest of the day

Doesn’t matter what time you want to eat it (lunch or dinner), check out these selections,

This Full-Moon Pork Trotter (RM12.90) is tender and saucy, and it comes with rice too. The portion is just nice for you to enjoy without overeating.

The Asam Pedas Beef (RM8.90) also comes with rice.

I like the Sliced Pork Noodle (RM7.90), feels like I want to eat the sliced pork alone, but the noodle is also equally tasty.

Yu Cafe also serve spaghetti and pasta, like this one Enzy Spaghetti with Chicken (RM17.90)

Now what is Enzy? Enzy is a seasoning produced through the natural brewing of 150 types of materials such as various raw fruits, vegetables, plants, herbs, and mushrooms, creating a delicious enzyme that helps the digestive system and enhances food flavour. In the same time, Yu Cafe is promoting and practicing healthy recipes and cooking.

Next we have Pasta Carbonara (RM9.90)

Desserts!

My favorite part in our food review, blame it on my sweet tooth. Make sure to check out their home made cakes and mini chicken pie, you will never regret buying it.
