Richmond Valentine’s V-Day is upon us!
I believe most of you have already watched the movie Kingsman: The Secret Service. Haven’t watched it yet? Well here’s a little synopsis for you;
Gary “Eggsy” Unwin (Taron Egerton), whose late father secretly worked for a spy organization, lives in a South London housing estate and seems headed for a life behind bars. However, dapper agent Harry Hart (Colin Firth) recognizes potential in the youth and recruits him to be a trainee in the secret service. Meanwhile, villainous Richmond Valentine (Samuel L. Jackson) launches a diabolical plan to solve the problem of climate change via a worldwide killing spree.
Just a few days ago, SR1M, Simkad Rakyat 1 Malaysia, was officially launched after a few months introduced in the market. This service was introduced, according to the news report, to give a choice especially to the low and moderate income groups, and students to reduce their expenditure on telecommunication services.
A sequence of thoughts in my head lead me to Richmond Valentine’s world dominating, berserk inducing, free calls, free sms, free internet data plan simcard.
SR1M > simcard > Kingsman > Valentine > Berserk > V-Day
> MIND BLOWN! (pun intended)
I proceeded to tweet this sudden realization and posted this pic on my Facebook,
Apparently I was not alone who quickly thought about Mr. Valentine’s evil invention when they see SR1M.
To date, my post on Facebook garnered 1500+ shares and also getting many friend requests from total strangers! Perhaps next time I would stick it on my Facebook page.
The funny connection of SR1M and Kingsman was so widespread on the interwebs. One that made my day was a tweet from the official twitter account for Malaysia’s Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs;
Untuk makluman, SR1M tiada kena mengena dengan simkad yang ada dalam filem Kingsman. 😀
