HobbyCon 2014: Get in Gear!
The much anticipated event in Sabah, HobbyCon: Youth, Hobby and Lifestyle convention, will be happening this weekend! With the theme Retro VS New, the event promises to be even better than last year. We have Fuwa Fuwa Time Maid Cafe, activities such as table-top and arcade games, special appearance of popular cosplayer Yugana, Team Tokusatsu Malaysia and Onnies, and best of all, see cosplayers from all Borneo converge in one place!
More cool stuff!
Onnies special merchandise will be on sale during HobbyCon, those who made purchases will get exclusive meet and greet with Onnies and get their merchandise autographed on Day 2. Better get it quick because these items are superrr limited!
Remember the rocking band HIKARU? They will once again take the stage rocking out at old school and new school music to entertain the audiences. Catch them again this year on Day 2!
I will be part of the HobbyCon’s Tabletop team again this year, and we will bring more great stuff this year for you to enjoy with your friends. Did you get to try out some of our games last year? New games like Kings Of Tokyo and Werewolves of Millers Hollow will be available for you to try out, along with fan favorites Toc Toc Woodman and Zombie Dice.
Sabahan Handheld Gamers will be joining our sides for handheld and mobile games, as well as cardgames like Cardfight, Magic The Gathering. So come on by, play and enjoy! The games are free to play!
This tips I mentioned last time in my blog, but please read again! 🙂
Event goers like me should take not on a few things to enjoy the event without undesired complications;
Respect the cosplayers, booth caretaker – Taking photos is fun, but you must also respect the cosplayers and booth caretakers. Cosplayers deserve their rest from time to time , so don’t pull them in again for the sake of taking photos, ask politely and remember to thank them too. Meet again another time if they need to rest.
Some booth caretakers don’t like their products photos being taken, remember to ask and thank them later for their permission.
Hydrate! (HAIL HYDRATE!!) – Drink enough water so you won’t feel dry and dizzy from walking around, if you’re feeling hungry, eat!
Keep clean – Please do not litter, No one likes to see rubbish everywhere, so do your part to keep the place clean.
Remember your belongings and merchandises bought – Please keep in mind of your important belongings (ID card, money, handbags) and also merchandises you bought from the various booth. I saw quite a few incidents regarding lost items, so be cautious.
Oh and by the way, I will be cosplaying this year. Be on the lookout for this guy on Day 1 and Day 2…
HobbyCon 2014, See you there!
